Switchcraft vintage screw-on microphone connector with 5/8-27 threads designed for Astatic JT30 bullet, Turner 33D/X series and lots of other original USA single-ended high impedance vintage mics. Internally threaded screw-on type with hot center, nickel plated brass body, NEW! This is the connector that is installed at the end of a high impedance microphone cable. "Designed for use with single conductor microphone cable with .281" maximum outside diameter. Coupling ring is removable for fast change from female to male type. Spring assembled into body, cable braid and spring clamped by hollow set screw." This connector does not fit bullshit new imported copy of Astatic JT30.
Only two solder connections required to install these on the end of a guitar cord. Solder the 'positive' center wire to the hot center connection, solder the braided shield of the cord to the spring, fasten down the slotted set screw tightly to complete the ground connection and you're good to go. I've just included some photos of how this connector works with common shielded cable so folks can build their own microphone leads.
No bulk or finished cable is included in this sale.
