Made for us by a Korean factory that does quite a bit of work for Fender. I love my '59 Fender Precision with gold anodized guard so I was stoked when my guy said they'd put these into production. Deep gold color and a brushed finish like on my '59 Precision Bass. I put one of these on top of a Fender gold anodized Vintage Series pickguard and everything lined up nicely. I measured .060" thickness, just a hair thinner than my '59. This guard is not lacquered. Bonus screws included! No pickguard is an exact replacement for any other. You almost always need to fill the old screw holes and drill new ones when you fit a new pickguard. You may also need to do some trimming of the guard in the neck pocket and control cavity area. In some cases you may even need to trim the cavities in the guitar body. The goal here is to make the instrument easy, quick and effortless to disassemble and reassemble when repairs are needed.
