Styled roughly after old Amphenol sockets. Black phenolic body, tinned knife contacts, double holes in solder lugs. Fits through an approximately 1.140" diameter hole in the chassis or, as more commonly used, this socket mates with an 8 pin octal tube base. Folks mainly use this for tube "socket savers" and tube testing adapters. The top fits well with the #880X and the #880XG oxblood tube bases that we sell.
